Perennial Heart & Hope
Healing from the Heart; Hope for all Seasons!
Accepting New Clients
I’m Sandie Lamb-Moudy, a registered professional counselor associate and a licensed physical therapist assistant in Portland Oregon. As a body worker for many years, I am coming into my own as a somatic healing professional. I hold a good understanding of both the mind, the body and how they interact. I believe we need to work with both the mind and the body for optimal healing potential. I am a certified Transforming Touch ® Practitioner. Transforming Touch, also called TEB for Transforming the Experienced Based Brain, is a modality that supports nervous system regulation as well as the integration of primitive reflexes. Primitive reflexes are what our bodies use when we are just learning how to use and move our bodies as very young humans. Primitive reflexes are part of our nervous system and can be stuck on when they should be integrated or can be not active as much as we need. TEB practitioners use touch or presence along with reflex integration to help reset and organize the nervous system. I use a client-centered approach as I also believe you know yourself best and I often utilize Internal Family Systems or IFS/Parts Work to help clients in their healing process.
I found so much hope in my garden when tragedy struck my life in 2009. All the pictures shown are plants and flowers from my garden that I lovingly tended along with my broken heart. I see metaphor in my garden that resembles my grief. I have seasons where my grief is more profound and other seasons where it is still there, yet lies more dormant. Some plants struggle to make it in an environment not quite right for them while other plants thrive despite non-optimal conditions. People are just like plants. I know you can survive whatever brought you to my site and I would be honored to companion you as you tend to your own heart, mind, and body in your healing. You might even learn to THRIVE.
My passion is working with clients grieving the death of a loved one and those wanting to heal from relational trauma. Many times grief and relational trauma are interconnected. I also enjoy working with clients experiencing big life transitions. Sometimes grief, relational trauma, and big life transitions are all jumbled up together. This has been my lived experience.
I am trained in The Dougy Center Model of grief support which means I’m grief literate and grief informed. I facilitated and co-facilitated adult grief support groups for 7 years. For more about my treatment philosophy and style, please check out my Psychology Today profile via the link below.

Sandie lives and works on unceded traditional land of the Clackamas or Upper Chinook Tribes of indigenous people.
The Clackamas and Chinook people were forcibly relocated to the Grand Ronde Reservation in the summer of 1855.
I lovingly tend this land in Portland, OR, which I am a guest on.
